How do I prove I am legally prescribed medical cannabis?

There are a number of ways you can prove that your medication is legally prescribed.

Patient Card

Your patient card, sent out 3-6 weeks after you are first prescribed, identifies you as a patient of Alternaleaf. This card can be presented as evidence of your patient status.

Original Packaging

In addition, you should always carry your medication in the original packaging, with pharmacy labels attached. This is the easiest way to verify that your prescription is legal.

Treatment Letter

Finally, if you require or would like written evidence of your patient status or prescription details, we can request a treatment letter for general, domestic travel, insurance or employment purposes. These letters are written by the clinical team, and are sent to you via email within 5-10 business days of the request being made.

Please note that we cannot comment on your ability to work with heavy machinery, or in a safety critical role while using medicinal cannabis products. This depends on your local workplace policies and procedures. If you are concerned about your ability to work while being treated with these medications, you should raise this with your workplace directly.
