Your prescription gives you access to a set number of units in a set timeframe. The timeframe is known as an interval period, or interval time.
For example, an interval time can be 14 days. If you are prescribed 2 units of medication every 14 days, it means that you can not order or be dispensed more than that amount.
The interval time is calculated based on the dispensed date of your last order.
Example: If you place an order for 2 units of a medication on the 1st of September, and it is dispensed on the 4th of September, the interval period will expire on the 18th of September. Depending on the time your order was dispensed, you may not be able to order until the evening on that day.
If you place another order for the same medication before the 18th of September, the status will be shown as 'Interval Time' and the order will not proceed until the interval time has expired. In this example, the second order could then be dispensed on the 19th of September.
If your order is showing the status 'Interval Time' and you're not sure why, please contact us.
